We handle the rebuild phase. That means controlled demolition of the damaged material, removal of wet or contaminated insulation, replacement of framing members where they have failed, then insulation, board, tape, texture and paint back to the condition the space was in before the loss.

Controlled demolition matters more than people expect. Cutting drywall back to a stud line at a consistent height gives the new board something to fasten to and keeps the repair from wandering across a whole floor. On a water loss we cut above the wick line, not at it, because moisture travels further up the paper facing than the stain suggests.

Insulation that got wet does not recover. Fiberglass batts hold water against the framing, and blown cellulose slumps and stays damp. Both come out. When we reinsulate, we can go back with batts, mineral wool or closed cell spray foam depending on the assembly and what caused the loss in the first place.

We price to a written scope, document what we find behind the walls, and flag anything that was not in the original estimate before we do it rather than after.
